Alba Blaj came out as the winners after a clash against Stiinta Bacau on the road 3-0 (25-12, 25-16, 25-16). Maria Baciu was the best scorer of the game with 22 points.
This victory has pushed them toward the final of the CEV Cup. They need to avoid a 3-0 and 3-1 defeat so they can claim the spot in the final.
Busto Arsizio have managed to defeat the Hungarian side also on the road 25-23, 25-14, 25-18. Nikoleta Perovic was the best scorer with 14 points, but it was not enough for the win. In Busto, Britt Herbots had 12 and Alessia Gennari added 11.
