Italy scored the third consecutive victory in the 2020 U20 European Championships in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, they didn’t drop a single set so far.
Although they showed some small moments of weakness in the second and third set, the “Azzurri” swept the hosts in Round 3 of Pool I, in Kuřim: 3-0 (25-15, 26-24, 25-23). Tommaso Stefani led Italy in scoring with 15 points. Jiří Mikulenka tallied 17 points for the losing side.
In the same pool, France beat Serbia in straight sets, while Belgium prevailed over Poland in the tie-break. Belarus downed the Netherlands in the only match scheduled for today in Pool II.
