EUROVOLLEY 2021 W: Italy achieved first victory, Hungary defeated Slovakia

On the second day of the EuroVolley in Group C, the matches of Italy and Belarus, as well as Hungary and Slovakia were scheduled.

The favorites in Pool C and the bronze medal winners two years ago Italy recorded their first victory 3-0 (25-20, 25-18, 25-16) against Belarus.

Paola Egonu was the game’s top scorer with 20 points, while Elena Pietrini added 19.

In the second match of the day in Zadar, the match was played by two co-organizers of the previous EuroVolley – Slovakia and Hungary. Hungary defeated Slovakia 3-1 (25-20, 25-23, 20-25, 25-18). Hungarians Greta Szakmary and Anett Nemeth were the top scorers of the game with 19 points each.

Unfortunately, all matches played in Zadar, Croatia are without spectators, due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation.

Hungary – Slovakia 3-1 (25-20, 25-23, 20-25, 25-18)
