Vero Volley Monza won the first trophy in their club history – the 2022 CEV Men’s Volleyball Cup.
In front of 3,500 noisy fans of their rival Tours VB, the players of Italy’s Vero Volley Monza put their hands on the trophy of the CEV Volleyball Cup 2022 | Men. After the clear 3-0 victory in the first leg of the final, two sets were enough for the guys coached by Massimo Eccheli in the rematch to bring the 2nd-strongest ranked European cup home. Tours had a chance in the first set, squandering a 4-point lead, but that was all regarding the resistance from the French side; Monza triumphed with a score of 3-0 (26-24, 25-18, 25-18).
Belarusian Uladzislau Davyskiba top-scored the SuperLega side with 16 points.
