Savino Del Bene Scandicci achieved an important victory in the first game of the CEV Cup quarterfinals. The Italian team won in Germany against SC Potsdam 3-0 (29-27, 26-24, 25-19) after 82 minutes and took an important step towards the semifinals. Zhu Ting was the match top scorer with 20 points.
In the second quarterfinal match, Turkish powerhouse THY Istanbul won with a clear 3-0 (25-18 25-15 25-16) in Mulhouse. Kiera Van Ryk from THY with 25 points was the match top scorer.
