In Pool A, Turkey emerged victorious in a nail-biting five-set showdown against Romania (25-18, 23-25, 25-27, 25-19, 15-6). Portugal also achieved a straight sets win, outperforming Denmark 3-0 (26-24, 25-22, 25-14) in the same pool.
In Pool B, Belgium registered a comprehensive 3-0 triumph over North Macedonia, indicating a strong performance.
