Itas Trentino hosted and triumphed over Slovenian champions ACH Volleys with a score of 3-1. Despite not fielding their strongest lineup and benching key players Jan Kozamernik and Daniele Lavia, Trentino faced a spirited challenge from ACH Volleys, particularly after losing a set and enduring a tough battle in the fourth set. The Slovenian team, aiming to prove their mettle against the favorites, showcased commendable resistance in Italy.

Kamil Rychlicki and Alessandro Michieletto were standout performers for Trentino. Rychlicki, scoring a remarkable 28 points and achieving a 66% success rate in attacks, was the match top scorer. Michieletto, adding 12 points including four aces, excelled as the game’s top server, while Giulio Magalini with 14 points to Trentino’s tally. On the Slovenian side, Nikola Gjorgiev and Jan Pokeršnik each scored 18 points, displaying remarkable tenacity and combativeness.

In another Group B encounter, Polish team Asseco Resovia suffered a surprising defeat at home, losing 1-3 to French powerhouse Tours. Brazilian player Drame Neto, scoring 27 points, played a pivotal role in Tours’ victory over the Polish team. Despite Stephen Boyer’s effort for the hosts, scoring 22 points with a 61% success rate in attacks, one block, and an ace, it was not enough to secure a win for Asseco Resovia.
