SSC Palmberg Schwerin delivered an impressive 3-0 victory over Tent Obrenovac, securing a vital win in the CEV Champions League. Meanwhile, Eczacıbaşı Dynavit continued their unbeaten run, sweeping Levallois Paris Saint Cloud 3-0 and advancing directly to the quarterfinals.

Schwerin’s Dominant Show

Schwerin made quick work of Tent Obrenovac despite a rocky start. After some initial miscommunication, the German team quickly found their rhythm. Strong serves and powerful attacks, led by Elles Dambrink and Leana Grozer, helped Schwerin rally from a slow start to win the first set 25-20.

In the second set, Schwerin was in complete control, thanks to a stellar serving streak by Britte Stuut, who helped the team build a commanding 17-6 lead. The Serbians could only manage 13 points, with Schwerin’s defensive strength leaving little room for a comeback.

The third set mirrored the previous one, with Schwerin maintaining their momentum. Despite brief resistance from Tent Obrenovac, Schwerin’s offense proved unstoppable as they closed out the set 25-18.

Eczacıbaşı’s Perfect Performance

Eczacıbaşı Dynavit completed a flawless pool stage with a 3-0 victory over Levallois Paris Saint Cloud (25-11, 25-15, 25-18). Kathryn Boden (Plummer), the American outside hitter, was named MVP of the Match for her standout performance.

With the win, Eczacıbaşı finished the group stage with a perfect record and secured a direct spot in the quarterfinals of the Champions League.

Playoff Implications

The final Pool B rankings have Eczacıbaşı at the top, followed by Tent Obrenovac, Schwerin, and Levallois Paris. While Tent Obrenovac has secured a spot in the playoffs, Schwerin will have to wait for the results of other matches to determine if they qualify as one of the best third-place teams.

As the knockout stages approach, all eyes are on these top teams as they vie for the prestigious Champions League title.
