CEV CL W: Milano & Łódź Shine in Champions League Playoffs with 3-0 Wins

A dominant Numia Vero Volley Milano took a big step toward the CEV Champions League quarterfinals, securing a 3-0 victory (25-14, 25-23, 25-16) against SSC Palmberg Schwerin.

Milano’s Commanding Performance

With an all-around team effort, Milano controlled the match from start to finish. Paola Egonu led the charge with 17 points, including 3 aces and 2 blocks, earning MVP honors. Despite Schwerin’s resistance in the second set, Milano’s experience and firepower proved too much. Nika Daalderop (10 points) and Miriam Sylla (8 points) also made key contributions.

Juliette Gelin, Milano’s libero, praised the team’s focus:
“This was a match we had to win, and we did it with determination and concentration. We stayed united, especially in the tough moments of the second set. I’m proud of my teammates!”

Łódź Also Secures 3-0 Win

Meanwhile, PGE Grot Budowlani Łódź also impressed, earning a 3-0 win (25-23, 25-16, 25-23) on the road against Tent Obrenovac in their PlayOff Stage clash. Terry Enweonwu (14 points) and Paulina Damaske (15 points) led the Polish side to victory, making them huge favorites for the return leg.
