Bogdanka LUK Lublin defeated Cucine Lube Civitanova 3:1 in the first leg of the CEV Challenge Cup final. The match was highlighted by Lublin’s powerful serves, with the hosts delivering 13 aces—six of them from Wilfredo Leon, who was named MVP.
Leon led the scoring with 22 points, followed by Kewin Sasak (16) and Fynnian McCarthy (11). For Lube, Mattia Bottolo and Aleksandar Nikolov scored 12 points each, while Adis Lagumdzija added 11.
The decisive second leg will take place on March 19 in Italy.
