Volero Le Cannet made a strong statement in Skopje, beating Janta Volej 3-1 in the first leg of the Champions League qualifiers.
French team dominated early (25-15, 25-10), stumbled briefly in the third set (20-25), but finished in style (25-9).
With this win, Le Cannet now just needs a tie-break loss or better in the return leg on November 13 to reach the Champions League group stage.
If they make it through, they’ll face volleyball powerhouses in Pool A like – Vakifbank Istanbul, Scandicci, and Alba Blaj.
