CEV CL W: Eczacıbaşı Opens Champions League Campaign with Strong 3–0 Win

Eczacıbaşı Dynavit kicked off its CEV Women’s Champions League run with a confident 3–0 victory over Serbia’s OK Zeleznicar Lajkovac, taking the sets 25–12, 25–16, 25–17 in their new home arena.

From the very first points, Eczacıbaşı controlled the pace of the match. With smooth coordination and sharp attacking—led early by Yaprak Erkek—the team quickly closed out the first set 25–12.

The second set followed the same pattern. Eczacıbaşı maintained high efficiency on offense and kept the visitors under pressure, claiming a comfortable 25–16 win and moving ahead 2–0.

In the final set, Eczacıbaşı opened with a strong block and never let up. Their dominance at the net and steady serving helped secure a 25–17 finish, completing the sweep in just 69 minutes.

Sinead Jack-Kısal earned MVP honors, while Ebrar Karakurt topped the scoring with 14 points. Magdalena Stysiak and Jack-Kısal each added 12 points, contributing to the team’s impressive 16 blocks and 7 aces.

Zeleznicar, missing starting opposite Vanja Savić, struggled to match the pace. Their best performer was middle blocker Vasja Filipović with 7 points.
