CEV CL W: Scandicci Sweep Alba Blaj

Savino Del Bene Scandicci launched their CEV Champions League Volley 2026 campaign in style, sweeping CS Volei Alba Blaj 3–0 (25–13, 25–21, 25–14) with a dominant home performance in Pool A.

Lindsey Ruddins topped the scoring chart with 14 points, setting the tone for Scandicci’s confident start. She praised her team’s mindset after the match, noting, “We came out really strong and everyone did their part today.”

Scandicci’s attack ran smoothly across the board: Sylvia Nwakalor contributed 12 points, while both Caterina Bosetti and Avery Skinner added 10 each. Their strong presence at the net proved decisive, with the Italian side amassing 15 kill blocks compared to Blaj’s 2.

Alba Blaj, returning to Champions League action after a year away, fought hard despite the tough result. Vittoria Alice Piani led all scorers on her team with 16 points, backed by Andressa Felix Costa with 13.
