VK Lvi Praha claimed the first set 26–24 behind David Kollátor’s 20 points, but Perugia settled in and controlled the rest of the match, winning 25–18, 25–18 and 25–19. Kamil Semeniuk finished with 18 points as Perugia outblocked the visitors 12–7.
In Warsaw, PGE Projekt Warszawa opened Pool E with a 3–0 win over Volley Haasrode Leuven, taking sets of 25–17, 25–17 and 25–20. Warszawa dominated at the net with a 15–3 blocking margin, led by MVP Yurii Semeniuk, who posted six blocks and 12 points.
