In Ljubljana, Ziraat Bankkart Ankara made light work of their task, cruising past ACH Volley Ljubljana in straight sets. The Turkish champions were in full control from the opening whistle, dictating play with precision and power to secure a 3–0 victory. Setter Murat Yenipazar pulled the strings expertly and was named MVP, while Nimir Abdel-Aziz led the scoring with 21 points as Ziraat collected maximum points with authority.
The drama unfolded in Belgium, where Bogdanka LUK Lublin showed resilience and composure to edge Knack Roeselare 3–2 in a pulsating Pool B contest. After being stunned in the opening set, the Polish side fought back twice to force a tie-break, then held their nerve in the decisive moments. Mateusz Malinowski earned MVP honours, while Wilfredo Leon (17 pts) delivered key points late on to seal Bogdanka’s second consecutive win in the competition.
Another five-set classic played out in Prague, where Berlin Recycling Volleys overcame fierce resistance from VK Lvi Praha. The match swung back and forth for over two hours before Berlin’s experience told in the tie-break, which they closed out 15–9. Jake Hanes (26 pts) once again led from the front, finishing as top scorer and MVP.
