CEV CL M: Guaguas outlast Praha in five-set Pool C clash

Guaguas Las Palmas held off a determined VK Lvi Praha to secure a 3–2 victory in Pool C, prevailing in a tense five-set match that lasted more than two hours at the Gran Canaria Arena.

The hosts took early control with a dominant opening set, using steady serving and quick transitions to win 25–16. Praha responded in the second set, finding better balance in attack and evening the match with a 25–21 finish.

Guaguas moved back in front by taking the third set 25–21, but the Czech side answered again, forcing a deciding set after claiming the fourth 25–19.

The tie-break remained close until the final stages, when Guaguas capitalized on key points to pull away and close out the match 15–11.

Francisco Wallyson Bezerra Souza led Guaguas with 27 points and was named MVP. David Kollator scored 21 points for Praha.
