Numia Vero Volley Milano showed their class in Athens, coming from behind to defeat Olympiacos Piraeus 3–1 in a high-level Pool C clash of the CEV Champions League.

Olympiacos, missing Jovana Stevanović due to illness, started the match with energy and belief. Backed by a loud home crowd, the Greek side edged a tight first set 27–25 after saving set points, showing they were ready to challenge one of Europe’s strongest teams.
Milano’s response was swift and decisive. Led by an outstanding Paola Egonu, the Italian side took control from the second set onward, raising the level in attack and at the net. Milano claimed the next two sets with identical 25–17 scores, gradually draining the momentum from the hosts.
In the fourth set, Olympiacos briefly pushed back, but Milano quickly reasserted their dominance and closed the match comfortably at 25–14.
Egonu was the clear standout, finishing with 32 points and earning MVP honors. Anna Danesi and Khalia Lanier added 14 points each for Milano. For Olympiacos, Milica Kubura led the scoring with 13 points.
