CEV CL M: Galatasaray Win All-Turkish Clash

Galatasaray HDI Istanbul took an important step forward in the CEV Champions League on home court, defeating Halkbank Ankara 3–1 in a landmark all-Turkish encounter.

The match saw Galatasaray take early control with a dominant 25–16 opening set. The hosts then showed resilience in a tense second set, edging it 27–25 to build a two-set lead.

Halkbank responded in the third set, tightening their game to claim it 25–22 and keep the contest alive. Galatasaray, however, regrouped quickly and finished strongly, closing out the fourth set 25–20 to secure the win and move into second place in Pool B.

Jean Patry led the way with 22 points and was named MVP, while Stephen Maar added another 22 for Galatasaray. Matey Kaziyski was Halkbank’s top scorer with 17 points.
