Chieri, Galatasaray, Dresden and Voluntari Advance to CEV Cup Semi-Finals

The CEV Cup semi-final lineup was confirmed as Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri ’76, Galatasaray Daikin, Dresdner SC and CSO Voluntari all completed strong quarter-final performances to move into the last four.

Chieri sealed their place with a commanding 3-0 home win over PGE Grot Budowlani Łódź, adding to their 3-1 first-leg success in Poland. After leveling each set once the score reached double digits, the Italian side pulled away to win 25-18, 25-19, 25-21 in 71 minutes. Nervini led with 12 points, while Cekulaev earned MVP honors with eight points, including four blocks. Chieri will face Dresdner SC in the semi-finals.

Galatasaray Daikin also progressed with a 3-1 victory over Levallois Paris Saint-Cloud in Istanbul (22-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-17), having won the first leg 3-2 in France. Alexia Carutasu powered the Turkish side with 24 points, supported by Yuanyuan Wang (15), İlkin Aydın (13) and Myriam Sylla (12). Levallois’ Magdalena Bukovska with 21 points scored was the Levallois top scorer..

Dresdner SC completed a straight-sets sweep of Mulhouse, repeating their first-leg 3-0 win with another 3-0 victory in France (25-22, 25-22, 25-19). Marta Levinska led with 18 points, while Jette Kuipers (15) and Lorena Lorber Fijok (13) added key contributions. Mulhouse’s Reagan Rutherford was held to 10 points.

In Bucharest, CSO Voluntari defeated CS Volei Alba Blaj 3-1 (25-23, 25-17, 22-25, 25-20) to mirror their first-leg result and secure progression. Nikola Radosova scored 11 points and Nicole van de Vosse added 10, while Vittoria Piani led Alba Blaj with 15.

The semi-finals will see Chieri take on Dresden, while Galatasaray meet CSO Voluntari.
