Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie took a major step toward the CEV Champions League Final Four with a convincing 3–0 away win over Cucine Lube Civitanova (25–22, 25–16, 31–29) in the first leg of their quarterfinal tie.

Playing in front of 2,813 fans at the Eurosuole Forum, the Polish side controlled much of the match. They edged a competitive opening set before comfortably taking the second.
Civitanova showed resistance in a dramatic third set, pushing the visitors deep into extra points, but Zawiercie held their nerve to seal the sweep.
Setter Miguel Tavares earned MVP honours for orchestrating a composed and effective performance.
