Türkiye, Czechia, Azerbaijan and Sweden will stage the 76-match championship, with games taking place in Istanbul, Brno, Baku and Göteborg. The tournament concludes on September 6, when the new European champion will be crowned.

Istanbul will host Pool A, where Türkiye will face Germany, Hungary, Latvia, Poland and Slovenia. The hosts open their campaign against Latvia, beginning a tournament in which home expectations are expected to be high.

Pool B in Brno features Czechia, Austria, Serbia, Ukraine, Bulgaria and Greece, while Baku hosts Pool C with Azerbaijan, Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, Romania and Spain.

Sweden welcomes Pool D to Göteborg, where it will compete alongside Montenegro, Italy, France, Slovakia and Croatia.

The pool stage will determine which teams advance to the knockout rounds, where the pressure intensifies through the Round of 16 and quarterfinals. The final four teams will then head to Istanbul for the decisive stage of the championship.

The stakes extend beyond the continental trophy. The eventual European champion will also secure qualification for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

With preparations nearly complete across all four host cities, attention now turns to the opening matches and three weeks of competition that will determine Europe’s next women’s volleyball champion.
