EuroVolley W: Serbia Take Bronze

Serbia claimed the bronze medal at the 2026 Women’s European Volleyball Championship after beating Poland 3-1 in the third-place match in Istanbul.

The Serbian side controlled the opening two sets with disciplined play and strong attacking from Tijana Bošković, who finished as the match’s top scorer for Serbia with 29 points.

Poland responded in the third set after Serbia coach Zoran Terzić briefly left the court because of health problems, but Serbia regained control in the fourth and closed out the match with greater consistency in attack and at the net.

Aleksandra Uzelac added 15 points for Serbia, while Hena Kurtagić and Branka Tica scored 12 each. Magdalena Stysiak led Poland with 28 points.

The medal continues Serbia’s impressive European Championship run, marking a sixth consecutive podium finish in the competition.

Result: Poland 1-3 Serbia (21-25, 19-25, 25-15, 18-25)
