Modena vs. Ljubljana
Simply because the Yellow squad stayed without one point already at the start of the competition. Modena did triumph against Ljubljana, but the home side needed 5 sets to break the resistance of the visitors.
The Slovenian team even had a chance to win this match as they were up by 5:3 in the tie-break, but Luca Vettori change the flow of the match with several excellent serves and pushed his Modena in front.
Vettori finished the match with 16 points, while the top scorer in the Italian crew was Nemanja Petrić with 22.

In the last game of Day 1 of the 2016/17 Champions League campaign, Friedrichshafen made a huge comeback against Paris Volley. The German side were down by 0-2 in sets, but they bounced back on their feet and clinched the following 3 sets for the big win 3-2.
