Team captain Jovana Brakocevic Canzian said:
“Finally the group stage is starting, and we will find a very tough opponent in Chemik POLICE. We know how they play, they have very good individual players but we go there and we will fight for the best result. We are a little bit tired because we don’t have a lot of time to recover from the games we play in the national league, but all the teams are in the same position,” the Serbian-born player continues. “The trips in the Champions League are longer than usual, but I repeat, all the teams have the same problems and there are no excuses for that. We must be concentrated and stay focused on the game.”
Few words about the teams in Pool A: “There are very tough opponents, all the teams in our group are challenging ones. We know that we have to play our best to try and move on to the next round,” Brakocevic concluded.
