Dinamo-vs-Skra

Dinamo-vs-Skra

It was now or never for the Polish runners-up PGE Skra Bełchatów in Round 3 game against Dinamo Moscow from Russia in order to keep their Playoffs 12 hopes alive. Both sides were winless in Pool C before the match but just as in 2012, when Skra played against Dinamo for the last time as a visiting side, the outcome was the same. It was a 3-1 for Skra, six years ago. Today, it was a 3-2 (25-15, 23-25, 25-20, 23-25, 15-12). Mariusz Wlazły and Bartosz Bednorz scored 21 points each for Skra. Wlazły made 4 aces and 3 kill blocks. In Dinamo, Pavel Kruglov delivered 22 points.

The one-man show by Cuban Fernando Hernández, reflected in 24 points, led Halkbank Ankara from Turkey to a straight-set win against the Finnish side Ford Store Levoranta Sastamala in Pool B.
