Lube-vs-Fenerbahce
Italian titleholders Lube beat Turkish Fenerbahçe in four sets, totally dominating in two of them, partially 25-22, 25-11, 21-25, 25-12.
Lube coach Giampaolo Medei decided to leave Osmany Juantorena on the bench as a precautionary measure (recently sustained back injury but played Serie A1 game, last weekend).
The U.S. outside hitter Taylor Sander topped Lube with 19 points (3 aces), but two more players stood out as well in the winning team, both middle blockers: Serbian Dragan Stanković made 6 kill blocks (14 points), while Enrico Cester served 5 aces and made 100% excellent attack (7/7; 13 points). In Fenerbahçe, the French Guillaume Quesque scored 10 points.
