An Italian side Bunge Ravenna swept Volejbal Brno from the Czech Republic by a 3-0 (25-15, 25-19, 25-14) with 14 points from Austrian opposite Paul Buchegger.
Gazprom-Ugra Surgut from Russia achieved a bit more difficult win against the Dutch side Orion Doetinchem, who eventually found financial resources to make the long trip to West Siberia – 3-1. Serbian middle blocker Petar Krsmanović scored 17 points (82% excellent attack) of which 7 were kill blocks! It was nearly a half of all his team’s kill blocks – 15.
