Powervolleys-vs-Ziraat
The final score of the clash between the home side of SWD Powervolleys Düren and Ziraat Bankası might give the wrong impression.
The Turkish powerhouse did beat the German team only in the tie-break but the decision on the quarterfinal entrants was made after the first two sets which were claimed by Ziraat. In addition to the 3-0 win from the 1st leg, it was quite enough to ruin the competitive charm of the rest of the game.
The Pole Dawid Konarski from Ziraat scored game-high 22 points while the Latvian Edvarts Buivids made 15 points for Powervolleys.
Asseco Resovia Rzeszów, Lindemans Aalst, Calzedonia Verona and GFC Ajaccio VB also made it to the quarterfinals.
