The Russian team didn’t give any chance to their opponents in the semifinal. They defeated Turkey in straight sets while in the second semifinal Italy outplayed Bulgaria with 3-1.
Slovenia and Romania had a very important match as well – the winner of which was to secure a spot in the 2019 FIVB U18 Girls’ Volleyball World Championship. Romania won 3-2 and will finish among the top six teams in Europe. In the other decisive for a participation in the World Championship match, Belarus outclassed Germany and claimed a 3-1 victory.
