In the first semifinal of the regional cup organized by the Middle European Volleyball Zonal Association, the leaders of the competition who played on the highest level from the beginning, Olomouc defeated Slovenian Nova Branik Maribor by a 3-1 (25-18, 20-25, 25-19, 25-23).
In the second semifinals, the hosts and organizers, Linamar Bekescsabai were stronger than HAOK Mladost. The match was finished after four sets (25-19, 25-17, 26-28, 25-3) and the last set was in the total domination of the Hungarian team.
