Prievidza
No.1 VK Prievidza scored a straight-set triumph against the defending champions and also No.2 VKP Bystrina SPU Nitra at the opening of the best-of-seven Extraliga 2017/2018 playoff finals.
The Brazilian Marcílio Silva was the best scorer on the winning side with 16 points, followed by the Dutchman Tijmen Laane, who delivered 14. Marek Ludha added 4 kill blocks. There were no players with double digits when it comes to scored points in Nitra.
Game 2 is scheduled for April 1 and once again at the home ground Prievidza, the Sports Hall Prievidza.
