Laurent Tillie convened a first gathering of France national team for the World Championship. This part of the preparations will last 12 days and will be conducted in Montpellier with the presence of 14 players which is the maximum number of players that France, just like any other team, is allowed to enlist for the tournament.
Laurent Tillie did not stress if these 14-man squad will compete in the World Champs but looking by the names of the players that are on the list, this will likely be the “Les Bleus” final roster.
France will play five test matches before the World Championship: vs. The Netherlands (August 11), Poland, Russia and Canada (Wagner Memorial, August 24 to 26), and Serbia (September 2).

Setters: Benjamin Toniutti, Antoine Brizard
Opposites: Stéphen Boyer, Jean Patry
Outside hitters: Earvin Ngapeth, Kévin Tillie, Julien Lyneel, Thibault Rossard
Middle blockers: Kévin Le Roux, Nicolas Le Goff, Jonas Aguenier, Barthélémy Chinenyeze
Liberos: Jenia Grebennikov, Jérémie Mouiel.
