
Vôlei Renata Campinas reignited their semifinal hopes at the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship with a 3–1 victory over domestic rivals Praia Clube, keeping Pool A wide open heading into the final day of group play.
Playing at the Mangueirinho Arena, the hosts prevailed 25-22, 25-19, 22-25, 25-23 behind a match-high 21 points from outside hitter Adriano Xavier. Vôlei Renata now sit second in Pool A with four points, trailing unbeaten Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie on five, while Praia remain close behind on three. Winless Al-Rayyan of Qatar are eliminated, with Campinas needing a win over them to confirm a semifinal spot.
Earlier, Warta Zawiercie strengthened their position with a straight-sets victory over Al-Rayyan, led by American outside hitter Aaron Russell.
In Pool B, reigning European champions Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia moved close to the semifinals after winning a dramatic five-set battle against Japan’s Osaka Bluteon, 3–2. Tunisian opposite Wassim Ben Tara scored 20 points for the Italians, while Osaka’s Miguel Ángel López led all scorers with 29.
Perugia lead Pool B with five points, followed by Osaka on four, with both teams controlling their qualification fate.
