Athletes Commission
Presided over by Brazil legend and Athens 2004 Olympic champion Giba, the Commission discussed athletes’ career paths and explored ways to provide education and knowledge for after their playing careers.
Also in the works is the creation of an Athletes’ Hub, to improve communication and assistance to active and retired athletes.
The Commission also discussed recommendations by President Graça, looking ahead to their next meeting at the start of next year in Lausanne, during the round of all the FIVB’s Commissions meetings.
The Athletes’ Commission was first presented at Volleyball House on Copacabana Beach during the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
