Sometimes even an outstanding human effort remains without expected results. Kévin Le Roux’s initiative likely won’t help the French men’s volleyball club Rennes to keep the status of the country’s top division member.

The Rennes takeover project, led by the one-time European Championship and two-time FIVB Volleyball Nations League winner with the France National Team, Le Roux, and his group of investors, was rejected by the DNACG (the financial control body of the French national volleyball league). The only remained option for Rennes is to appeal to the French Olympic Committee (CNOSF).

The intervention of the middle blocker Le Roux to save this club and give it a new impetus simply didn’t convince the supervisory body. French media speculate that now, despite the possibility of appeal, chances that Renn will stay in the Ligue A are very slim.
