Ravva, the iconic player of Cannes, might leave the most titled ever French women’s volleyball club after 25 years. According to the information of Nice-Matin, Ravva, who finished her playing career in 2015 and is now the Cannes General Manager, is the subject of an economic dismissal procedure by the team from the French Riviera.
The three-time CEV Champions League MVP, now a 44-year-old, came to Cannes in 1995 and won two Champions Leagues, 19 titles of the French champion, and 18 Cups. The Georgia-born former middle blocker has moved into the offices after retiring, five years ago. First, Ravva was in charge of marketing, communication, and securing partnerships. Then, she took the role of a General Manager. Her jersey number 12 was retired by Cannes after she stopped playing volleyball actively.
