The French team has completed its Slovenian week with a victory by winning their final game against Croatia 3-0 in Maribor.
Rhythm of four games in a week, was an opportunity for the “blues” to confront a team of high caliber in the last test stage of preparations for European Championship.
The first game, which because of technical reasons ended after four sets, was a draw 2-2, while France led in the first set.
The second meeting was won by Croatia 3-1. While the French were heavily lost in their third match 4-0, they reacted at the last meeting, winning 3-0.
“This week has been very rewarding for the team. We were able to finalize the preparations in good conditions. Playing against a team like Croatia was very educational for girls. It is a competitor who will participate in the European Championship with the goal of making a major result. Win against the Croats in the last meeting was very encouraging for the rest of our journey. We were able, in the last game, to react individually and collectively, to prove in the last week of preparation, that we are able to bounce back in difficult situations,” Fabrice Vial, coach of French team said.
