FRA M: Montpellier and Poitiers Set Up French League Final

Montpellier and Poitiers advanced to the 2025/26 Marmara Spike League final after completing semifinal sweeps in Game 2 matches.

Montpellier cruised past Sète in straight sets, 25-20, 25-15, 25-18, to seal a 2-0 series victory. After winning Game 1 away from home, Montpellier finished the job in dominant style and reached its first final since lifting the title in 2021/22.

Simon Hirsch led Montpellier with 15 points, while Tomas Lopez Pascual added 13. Nooa Marttila scored 11 for Sète.

Poitiers also moved on after a dramatic five-set comeback against Paris, winning 21-25, 18-25, 25-20, 25-17, 15-13. Trailing by two sets, Poitiers rallied in front of its home crowd to book a second consecutive trip to the championship series.

Thomas Pujol scored 22 points for the winners, with Kèvin Kobrine adding 16. Tom Picard and Lukas Maase each contributed 11. Paris was led by Vasily Molotkov and Mathis Henno, who both finished with 23 points.

Montpellier and Poitiers will now face off for the French league crown.
