Partizan Vizura was so close to make a big upset in Cannes. However in the fifth and decisive set, home team just used the big advantage on the position of the middle blocker and took almost all points by setting the ball to the highest players – Victoria Ravva and Carly Wopat.
Because, Belgrade team played this game with a single middle blocker! Jovana Kocić has not even arrived in France due to illness, while Maja Savić injured ankle on the last training. When you add that Partizan Vizura was also without injured Tijana Bošković and Nataša Čikiriz, it is a real miracle that this game actually lasted this long.
Eventually, despite Sara Lozo saved the away side with an ace for 14:14, Cannes just kept pushing and used the match ball for 18:16.
