They met Russia in Lodz and smashed them in three sets 3-0 (25-22, 36-34, 25-20). Antonin Rouzier and Earvin Ngapeth were the best players of French team. The opposite scored 21, while Modena’s receiver added 13 points.
The second set was the most uncertain. After 70 rally points, France managed to down “Zbornaya” 36-34 and to increase the lead to 2-0!
Afterwards, in the third set, Russia played without confidence and they put the white flag in the air after three sets.
We have to mention that Lukas Divis made debut for Russia. Vladimir Alekno decided to give Poletaev chance and he was the first opposite during this match.
Dmitry Muserskiy was the top scorer with 13 while Poletaev added 10.
