Montpellier-vs-Chaumont
In a duel between the two best teams of the last regular season in the Ligue A, the titleholders Chaumont Volley-Ball 52 Haute Marne were outplayed by the hosts Montpellier Volley Université Club 3-1 (26-24, 20-25, 25-16, 25-22) mostly thanks to Jean Patry, who scored 20 points. On the other side, Stéphen Boyer has once again shown his class by making 24 points (4 kill blocks ).
By losing today, Chaumont lost No.1 to Paris Volley, who easily beat the last-placed Spacer’s Toulouse by a 3-0 with 15 points apiece from the Dutch Wouter ter Maat and Hungarian Roland Gergye.
