GER M: Berlin champions of Bundesliga for 5th time in row

Berlin Recycling Volleys surprisingly easy prevailed over the fiercest rivals VfB Friedrichshafen in the playoff finals of the 2020/21 German Men’s Volleyball Championship.

Berlin, who finished the regular season in 3rd place, swept the series of the playoff finals of 2020/21 German 1. Bundesliga against top-seed Friedrichshafen and won the 11th championship title in the club’s history, the 5th in a row. Except from Game 1, which ended in 5 sets, the team from the country’s capital didn’t have many problems to overtake the fiercest rivals in the title face-off. Two other games ended in straight sets, including tonight’s – partially, it was 25-21, 25-18, 25-21.

American Benjamin Patch scored 16 points for Berlin in the 3rd match, including 4 aces. Linus Weber tallied 2 points more than the US National team member but on the losing side.
