VfB Friedrichshafen continued their unbeaten streak at home with a 3-0 (25-20, 25-22, 25-23) win over Energiequelle Netzhoppers KW on Sunday evening in the Bundesliga. With this victory, the team climbed to third in the standings and gained momentum for their crucial CEV Cup clash against Croatian Champion, HAOK Mladost Zagreb.
Michal Superlak shined with 21 points and 72% attack efficiency, while Simon Kohn, stepping in as a substitute, scored 8 points with 50% efficiency in attack, and later was named MVP of the match.
Head coach Adam Swaczyna praised the collective effort: “Winning 3-0 was essential, and our bench players delivered good performance. Now, we focus entirely on Zagreb.”
Friedrichshafen will need a strong showing midweek, with a 3-0 or 3-1 victory required to force a golden set and keep their CEV Volleyball Cup hopes alive.
