VfB Friedrichshafen is heading to the semifinals after beating SWD Powervolleys Düren 3–1 (24-26, 25-20, 25-19, 25-20). It was their second win in the best-of-three series, meaning no third match was needed.
Despite dropping the first set, Friedrichshafen came back strong, led by MVP Jose Masso and standout Michal Superlak. Captain Marcus Böhme returned to the lineup and made a big impact.
Coach Adam Swaczyna praised the team’s grit: “It was huge to finish it in two games, especially with our injury struggles.”
Next up: a semifinal clash with SVG Lüneburg starting April 5.
