Friedrichshafen and BR Volleys, without any doubt two major title contenders in the German Championship, have met for the first time in the new season. And, reigning champions had a strong opening with 2-0 in sets… Everything seemed like the replay of the last year’s finals when BR Volleys seized the title…
But, home team made a huge comeback! On the wings of Van Garderen (19 points), Gontariu (16 points) and Geiler (13 points) Friedrichshafen has won three sets in a row and defeated the arch rival! In the Berlin squad, Caroll was the top scorer with 19 points.
