Vital Heynen’s side defeated Bulgaria in four sets 25-16, 25-18, 29-31, 25-21! The impression is that Germany could have done the job earlier, but it seems that Bulgaria wanted to keep the hopes so badly.

After missing opportunities to win the golden medal after three sets, Germany took the chance in the fourth set and claimed the top spot at the first European games!

Christian Fromm was the best player in the final with 21 points!

Thanks to Viktor Poletaev, Russia won the bronze medal against Poland 3-1 (26-24, 23-25, 25-23, 25-23).
