GER M: Moculescu makes victorious debut for BR Volleys in Bundesliga, Friedrichshafen at 16-0

BR Volleys defeated third-placed United Volleys at home in four sets, partially 3-1 (23-25, 25-19, 25-20, 25-17) to remain the second-placed behind the untouchable VfB Friedrichshafen. Thus, BR Volleys’ coach Stelian Moculescu made a victorious debut in the national championship. The Australian Paul Carroll topped BR Volleys with 16 points. The Serbian Aleksandar Okolić recorded 5 kill blocks while Canadian Steven Marshall made 81% reception (21 digs, 62% perfect reception). Moritz Karlitzek scored 16 points for United Volleys. Georg Escher made 78% attack (7/9).

VfB Friedrichshafen remained undefeated after outplaying fourth-placed SWD powervolleys Düren by a 3-1 despite playing without their best scorer, the Pole Bartłomiej Bołądź. David Sossenheimer scored 16 points from, Philipp Collin made 4 kill blocks and Markus Steuerwald finished with 80% reception from  (10 digs). The Latvian Edvarts Buivids noted 10 points for Düren.
