FRIENDLIES M: Serbia vs. Greece 1-2

The junior men’s national teams of Serbia and Greece played three friendly matches in preparation for the tournaments of the 2nd Round of qualifications for the 2014 CEV U20 Volleyball European Championship - Men, which will take place from April 25 through 27.

Serbia – Greece

All three games were played at the Sport Eko sports hall in Belgrade.  In the first match, Greece won by 3:1 (25-19, 25-19, 25-18, 21-25).  In the second, the Greeks achieved another victory, this time by a narrow 3:2 (25-22, 13-25, 17-25, 25-21, 17-15).  In the third match, the hosts from Serbia finally managed to defeat Greece, coming back from two sets down in another exciting five-setter for the eventual 3:2 (24-26, 13-25, 25-14, 25-19, 15-9).

Hungary will entertain Serbia, Finland and Slovenia for the matches in Pool D scheduled for April 25, 26 and 27 at the Sportcsarnok in Dunaujvaros, while Greece will play in Pool F at the Hristo Botev volleyball hall in Sofia against England, the Netherlands and hosts Bulgaria.
