AO Thiras Regains Momentum with 3-0 Win Over AEK

AO Thiras bounced back from last week’s defeat to Olympiacos with a 3-0 victory over AEK, solidifying their position in 3rd place. AEK’s three-match winning streak ended in Santorini.

Thiras dominated at the net (15-5 blocks) and limited AEK to just one ace. Despite late resistance from AEK in all three sets, Thiras maintained control, winning 25-23, 25-18, 25-20 in 84 minutes. Key performances included Mihaljevic (11 points) and Mosser (11 points), while Edwards led AEK with 14 points.

Thetida Shocks PAOK in Five-Set Comeback

Thetida Voula pulled off a stunning 3-2 victory over league leaders PAOK, recovering from a 0-2 deficit and fending off multiple match points in the third set. The game lasted 128 minutes, with Thetida’s Lauren Bevan-Matias (23 points) and Evangelia Mertéki (16 points) leading the charge.

PAOK, missing Marta Drpa, relied on Elena Baka (23 points) and Ester Jasper (18 points) but couldn’t match Thetida’s relentless energy. The hosts prevailed 15-8 in the tiebreaker, handing PAOK their first defeat of the season.
