Panathinaikos took the opening match of the Greek Volley League semifinal series after defeating Olympiacos ONEX in four sets, highlighted by a dramatic comeback in the fourth set.

The hosts started strongly, winning the first set 25–16 with effective serving and attacking led by Rasmus Nielsen. Olympiacos responded in the second set, leveling the match with a 25–21 win behind key points from Aleksandar Atanasijević.
Panathinaikos regained control in the third set, closing it 25–20 to move ahead 2–1.
In the fourth set, Olympiacos led 23–19 after two aces from Matéo Hasballa, but Panathinaikos fought back to tie the score. At 26–26, substitute Staúros Kasámpalis delivered ace before Charálampos Andreópoulos finished the match with a counterattack.
Nielsen led all scorers with 23 points, while Patrick Gasman added 13 for Panathinaikos. Atanasijević scored 14 for Olympiacos.
